Enechawet Games Wins Second Place in AR VR Africa Hackathon

Enechawet Games, a local game development company, won second place in the AR VR Africa Hackathon on March 11-12, 2023. The hackathon was a 48-hour event that took place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The team from Enechawet Games developed a prototype for a VR game called Tsedew Eregna (ፀዴው እረኛ). The game is set in Ethiopia and allows players to experience the life of a shepherd. The game was praised by the judges for its innovative use of VR technology and its educational value.

The team from Enechawet Games was awarded a prize of $2,000 for their second-place finish. They also received a mentorship from Meta, the company that owns Facebook.
